Nonprofits

Hazelton Strategies brings extensive experience launching, leading, and evaluating nonprofits. Catherine has launched and managed several new nonprofit organizations and coalitions. Additionally, she has helped guide nonprofits through major structural evolutions and coached several nonprofit leaders. Catherine has also led a major leadership award program through which she evaluated highly effective nonprofits and their leaders and helped them identify opportunities to expand their impact.

Policymakers

Hazelton Strategies has worked on policy and campaigns at the federal, state, and local level -- both from the inside with policymakers and candidates and from the outside as advocates. We've held appointments as state and local officials and led capitol and district legislative offices. We've toiled in the trenches of state legislative and congressional campaigns, led an independent expenditure committee, appeared statewide as an initiative spokesperson, and traversed the country -- twice -- trying to elect the first woman President. With experience in all facets of policy and political work -- from policy development and communications to field organizing and fundraising -- we understand the breadth of work necessary to build consensus, bring stakeholders together, and implement policy.
